Arsenal target Mykhaylo Mudryk has “already” signed for the Gunners,
Arsenal have already signed €100 million wonderkid Mykhaylo Mudryk.
Well, that’s according to one of the winger’s team-mates, who has been speaking about the rumours concerning his colleague’s move to the Premier League. Mudryk has taken the Champions League by storm this season, leading to an increased interest from Europe’s big guns – and is valued at around £85m.
Now Shakhtar Donetsk goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin has weighed in on the rumours and says that it’s accepted within the team’s dressing room that the 21-year-old is “already” an Arsenal player.

“I like that he is focused only on himself, his and the team’s game,” Trubin said, via HITC (opens in new tab). “Fans don’t really see that much. No one sees what he is doing away from the football field.
“All these transfer rumours affect him only in a positive way, because he enjoys what he does. And, in the team, we can tell him; ‘well, you’re already at Arsenal, let’s all go!’”

The rumours are true that Arsenal are interested, too, apparently, with Shakhtar themselves confirming so. Carlo Nicolini, Shakhtar’s deputy vice chairman, confirmed to Calciomercato (opens in new tab) last month that both the Gunners and Manchester City were in the race for the starlet.
“Is €40m enough to buy him? We do not answer to these figures,” Nicolini said. “Not even for 50. We value Mudryk more than Manchester United’s Antony, who cost €100m.”

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano (opens in new tab) confirmed (opens in new tab) that Everton bid for the Ukrainian in the summer, as well, with Arsenal’s interest ramping up in the final few days of the window when it became clear that Pedro Neto would be available.
Mudryk is valued at £13.5m by Transfermarkt (opens in new tab).

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Juventus midfielder Manuel Locatelli; the Gunners are said to have already made contact with the Italy international’s camp. The club are also interested in Evan Ndicka in defence, while N’Golo Kante and Federico Valverde are targets, too.
Meanwhile, one man who could be heading for the Emirates Stadium exit door is Gabriel Martinelli: there’s been talk of Chelsea making a shock swoop for the winger.
In other news, Aaron Ramsdale says that the Gunners have been motivated to succeed this season by the disappointment of missing out on Champions League qualification last term.
